Our Founder
Change The One is a simple vision of its founder, Peter Nicholls, that came about when inspecting the devastation of a Tsunami in Papua New Guinea back in 1997.
Change The One, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia is run by volunteers based not only in Melbourne, but also throughout Asia. Our current focus is in Vietnam and the Philippines. Will you provide ongoing relief, care, and assistance to people and communities in remote and underprivilege areas, addressing shortages of consumables, fresh drinking water, food supplies, school facilities, education and supporting self-sustainability. Change the One has no paid employees, only volunteers-insuring that 100% of funds raised go directly to support our projects.

Our Vision
That every man woman & child has the opportunity to be the best they can be, in their own local environment through education and the availability of the basic necessities of food, water & medical attention - so they can grow and assist their fellow man.
Our Purpose
The Purpose of the Change The One is to provide on-going relief, care and assistance to people and communities in remote areas of Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and other countries in South East Asia and the Pacific Regions suffering the long-term effects of Agent Orange, lack of consumable water and sustainable food supplies.

Mission #1
--- Classroom Facilities and Supplies ---- Buna Papua New Guinea
A mission trip to this beautiful but isolated community with my daughter’s school. The need was for funds to complete the 2 classrooms & 3 teacher’s quarters. A 40 foot container of clothing, bedding, school desks & chairs & even a pottery wheel, was sent to Buna to assist with the rebuilding of their entire community.

The Village – Mr Thuong – Tra Leng Commune is a village so remote it took 9 hours on motorbikes & 4 wheel drives to get to the village where we have provided the funds for the new school building.
Our Latest - Mission #41
On this mission, Change The One provided 20 push bikes for school children, 2 cows for families living in very difficult situations, food and other supplies to the special needs school and an orphonage as well as visiting a number of past projects.
